Dorset Wildlife Rescue is very proud indeed of the fantastic team of supporters who ensure that we can go on rescuing wildlife. Without their dedication, enthusiasm and love of our patients, we would have long since closed down.
Volunteering for Dorset Wildlife Rescue is no easy task, dealing with very badly injured wildlife can be distressing. Dealing with the after effects of the dark side to human interactions with wildlife can be depressing and fighting constantly to raise money to keep our doors open can be daunting. But it also has its bright side……..
Seeing an animal go free, back into the wild where it belongs…
Holding a new born infant and knowing you are its only hope…
And the friendships built up over a joint love of our wild creatures and this beautiful countryside….
And its not all work, we do have a good social time too……
